Important upcoming changes for purchasing and accounting teams regarding orders of products and services of Horizon Discovery Limited and Dharmacon Inc. 

From March 1st 2021, please address all Purchase Orders for products and services of Horizon Discovery Limited and Dharmacon Inc. to Horizon Discovery Biosciences Limited. Horizon Discovery Group Plc and its affiliated companies (the “Horizon Discovery Group”) are streamlining their ordering process to allow customers to order all products and services through just one company of the Horizon Discovery Group: Horizon Discovery Biosciences Limited. From March 1st, 2021, all customers who purchase Horizon Discovery Limited and Dharmacon Inc. products will have to do so through Horizon Discovery Biosciences Limited and from that date all Purchase Orders should be addressed to Horizon Discovery Biosciences Limited. Horizon Discovery Biosciences Limited will issue the invoices and will receive the payments for such Purchase Orders.

This is strictly a change in ordering processes, and does not affect our products and services offerings, their quality, or make any change to the people who support you. Please create a new account for Horizon Discovery Biosciences Limited in your purchasing and accounts payable systems to reflect the new legal entity and its trading address (8100 Cambridge Research Park, Waterbeach, Cambridge, CB25 9TL, United Kingdom). You can find the W-8BEN-E form and banking information here. This change will not affect any orders that you place before March 1st, 2021, therefore we advise you to keep open in your purchasing and accounts payable systems the accounts of Horizon Discovery Limited or Dharmacon Inc. until the invoices for such Purchase Orders have been paid.

A: Yes, please do!

 

Q: Have the contact details for technical support or customer service changed?

A: No, you can reach us all using the same contact information.

 

Q: Will my sales rep, customer support, or technical support contacts be changing?

A: No, this change does not alter the people or teams that support you.

 

Q: I have an open order with Horizon Discovery Limited or Dharmacon Inc. What will happen?

A: Orders placed before March 1st, 2021 will not be affected by this change. The entity under which you placed your order will fulfil it as usual, and you should send your remittance to the entity on your Purchase Order when the invoice is due to be paid.

 

Q: If I use one Purchase Order to buy both Dharmacon Inc. and Horizon Discovery Limited products, will they be shipped together?

A: They will not be shipped together, you will receive separate shipments to fulfil the order.

 

Q: If I use one Purchase Order to buy both Dharmacon Inc and Horizon Discovery Limited products, will I get charged two shipping fees?

A: You will only be charged one shipping fee. Rather than charging you two shipping fees, you will only be charged the highest of the two fees.

 

Q: I have a contract with Horizon Discovery Limited, will this change?

A: If you have a Master Service Agreement which allows you to place Purchase Orders with Horizon Discovery Limited, unfortunately this will not allow you to place Purchase Orders with Horizon Discovery Biosciences Limited. Our legal team will be in touch with you to ask you to assign the existing Master Service Agreement to Horizon Discovery Biosciences Limited. Q: What are the tax implications for this change? 

A: If you are a US customer and already have an account with Dharmacon Inc. or Horizon Discovery Limited and have sent us your tax exempt status, then no further action is needed.  If you do not currently have an account with us, we ask that you send us your relevant tax exemption certification, if we do not have that on file, then the default is to charge sales tax. If you are a UK or EU customer, we ask that you provide us with details of your VAT registration number or evidence of exemption from VAT when you place your order

Q: Do the changes affect all orders of product and service?

A: Yes. The changes apply to any order of Horizon Discovery Limited and Dharmacon Inc. products or services including orders for catalog item and to made-to-order items which are placed on or after March 1st, 2021.

 

Q: Will this change have any effect on duty taxes? 

A: No this change should not have any impact on the customs duties that are currently payable.

 

Q: Will there be any change to the currency choices?

A: We will handle currency the same way as the usual. We align to use local currency for CHF, CAD, NOK, SEK, GBP and DKK.
