Precision LentiORF Gene Family Libraries
Precision LentiORF gene families are human cDNA open reading frames (ORFs) cloned into a lentiviral expression vector and arrayed into predefined gene families to be used for overexpressing human genes and proteins in mammalian cells.

The original source projects (e.g., MGC, ORFeome, IMAGE Consortium, DKFZ, Kazusa) no longer maintain active databases, and these legacy biological collections have limited validation. As a result, they are offered "as is" without guarantee.
To help ensure you receive the correct clone, we recommend isolating and sequencing multiple colonies (3-4) and conducting your own verification to confirm suitability for your research. Thank you for your understanding.
Ideal for use in primary or difficult to transfect cells, Precision LentiORFs can be used to create stably expressing cell lines, investigate overexpression phenotypes, or perform RNAi rescue experiments.

Applications
Potential applications of Precision LentiORFs include gene overexpression experiments, RNAi rescue (see the RNAi Rescue using Precision LentiORF technical note), and expression of human proteins in mammalian cell lines. Primary and non-dividing cells can be readily transduced with ready-to-use lentiviral particles transfected with Precision LentiORF constructs directly into your cell line. For generating your own viral particles, Trans-Lentiviral ORF packaging kits are also available.
Note
The Precision LentiORF expression vectors are not compatible with third generation packaging systems. We recommend the Trans-Lentiviral Packaging System for use with these vectors.
