What is the additional C-terminal amino acid sequence for the Human ORFeome (Vidal) collection clones?
The Vidal ORFs have the stop codons removed. Therefore, there is an extended read-through for every Human ORFeome clone. The amino acid that replaces the stop codon varies from clone to clone. However, the short amino acid sequence between the end of the ORF and the STOP on the vector is P T F L Y. This amino acid sequence also exists on both the ORFeome Collaboration Collection and Precision LentiORF clones that do not have the native stop codon.
