I am getting the same phenotype from my negative control siRNA duplex as I am for my specific duplex. Why is that?

This observation is an excellent example of the importance of using a negative control, as it suggests that the phenotype observed is most likely not sequence specific. Rather, it is most likely due to a general process, such as the transfection procedure itself. We recommend additional optimizing of the transfection procedure.
