SfN’s 47th annual meeting, Neuroscience 2017, was the world’s largest neuroscience conference for scientists and physicians devoted to understanding the brain and nervous system. The meeting was held from 11-15 Nov 2017 and Horizon exhibited on Stand #1135.
Horizon staff hosted a talk at SfN entitled 'Novel Research Models for Neurodegenerative Diseases'. The talk was held from 18:30-20:30 EST in Salons 7 & 8, Marriott Marquis Washington, on Monday 13 November.

Professor Craig Ferris (Northeastern University) presented 'Sex Differences in Behavior, Brain Structure and Functional Connectivity in the APOE Epsilon 4 Knock-in Rat Model of Alzheimer's Disease: Females are the Stronger Sex?'
Dr Zhenyi Liu (Principle Scientist at Horizon Discovery) presented 'An introduction to a knock-in rat genetic toolbox for optogenetics,' sharing over 10 years' experience in designing, creating and analyzing genetically engineered mouse and rat models.

Professor David Wyllie (University of Edinburgh) spoke on his research employing intellectual disability and autism spectrum disorder rat models.
