What is MRD?
MRD stands for minimal or measurable residual disease. It is used to describe the presence of a very small amount of cancer cells present in the body.
Generally, MRD testing is done in blood samples and detects the presence or absence of circulating cancer variant DNA (known as circulating tumor DNA, or ctDNA) in the blood over time.
