Colorectal cancers (CRC) are the second leading cause of cancer-related mortality globally as of 2020. In the pursuit of diagnosis and personalized treatment strategies for CRC patients, molecular/genetic profiling plays a pivotal role. As with all the solid tumors, FFPE is the preferred choice of sampling to detect mutations which are diagnostically or prognostically relevant. Our CRC FFPE reference panel is meticulously blended using a unique combination of engineered cell lines harboring clinically significant mutations specific to CRCs. This FFPE panel replicates patient samples and serves as a robust reference material for validating NGS and other molecular biology methodologies aimed at detecting actionable mutations in key genes such as AKT1, APC, BRAF, KRAS, PIK3CA, and TP53 (refer to the accompanying table for a complete gene list). Like all Revvity Mimix reference standards, this product is manufactured in compliance with ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 13485:2016 standards.

Batch-specific supplementary NGS data

The Colorectal Cancer Panel FFPE Reference Standard comes with a batch specific supplementary NGS data. You can access the VCF file here. Each batch was sequenced using Agilent's CREV4 (Clinical Research Exome) kit at a depth of 250x on Illumina platform and run through the Illumina DRAGEN Somatic Pipeline for mapping, sorting, and variant calling.
