Mimix™ Quantitative Multiplex Moderate (FFPE) Reference Standard
Revvity Mimix™ Quantitative Multiplex Moderate FFPE reference standard is a biologically relevant quality control material for assessing the performance of molecular biology assays that detect somatic mutations, such as qPCR, ddPCR, Sanger sequencing and NGS. Developed based on customer feedback, this product has more degraded DNA than the standard Quantitative Multiplex FFPE product (HD200). This allows for workflows to be tested with degraded samples that even more closely mimic patient samples in clinical and research setups.
Patient-derived reference materials are variable and perishable, which creates complications for validation of workflows and assays. Revvity’s Mimix™ reference standards offer a source of consistent control material with patient-like performance, providing a solid foundation for monitoring and verifying research and diagnostic processes. Manufactured under ISO 9001 and ISO 13485, our cell line-derived reference material contains specific mutations at verified allelic frequencies, so that you can be more confident in your results.
Revvity Mimix™ standards are suitable for almost any NGS library preparation, including whole-genome, whole-exome, custom capture and targeted amplicon panels. The Quantitative Multiplex Reference Standard (QMRS) portfolio covers multiple endogenous SNPs, and deletions, in multiple formats - gDNA (HD701), FFPE (HD200, HD866) and Formalin-Compromised DNA (HD798, HD799, HD803). QMRS includes 11 highly onco-relevant mutations at allelic frequencies of 1%-24.5%.The QMRS in FFPE format allows you to evaluate and optimize protocols from extraction to analysis, without wasting precious patient samples. As an extension to this, the moderately compromised FFPE provides a version that is more comparable to the degradation seen in real world samples.
With this product you can:
- Evaluate workflow integrity from pre-analytical DNA extraction to post-analytical bioinformatics
- Analyze the robustness of your workflow with moderately compromised FFPE format
- Optimize and verify new cancer panels and monitor the performance of your assay with FFPE samples
